All New Privacy Settings for Facebook

10 December 2009 No Comment

FBP-greet_610x281When I logged to Facebook on Thursday night, I saw a page asking me to update the Facebook privacy settings. Facebook has recently updated the privacy settings on all the accounts. Now the user has more privacy options to select from. This may be welcomed by many users at first site, but it has both positive and negative sides.
For new users, privacy settings have become more complex. They have to select from a set of options the settings that best suit them. Facebook, like MySpace has included the option of web profile that may be welcomed by some users. 2
The question here is do Facebook really need those new private settings?  Recommended settings let a more public profile than old settings. Now if you can view profile of friends of friend like Orkut which was not there before.
This new update from Facebook has created a topic of debate in web world, let’s wait and watch the consequences.
