Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server

20 October 2009 2 Comments

In the iMac and Mac Mini refresh which happened today, Apple have also released a special version of the Mac Mini with Snow Leopard server installed. Yes, you heard right, the Mac Mini server.

So what is Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server? It is a Mac mini acting as a server (which actually a lot of people were doing already). Instead of a DVD drive, there are two 500GB hard drives that give you all the power and storage you need to help your group work more efficiently than ever.

The new Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server features a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB of memory. If you ever want to burn discs or install additional software then you can use the external USB-based SuperDrive which was original designed for the MacBook Air. It connects to the Mac mini with a single USB cable and there is no separate power adapter.

Because it comes with Snow Leopard server rather than the desktop version, you get all the server software you need to help you communicate, collaborate, and share information in your business.

Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server lets you add an unlimited number of Mac and PC users without per-user licensing fees. So you can grow your business without growing your costs.

The Mac Mini Server starts at just $999 with Snow Leopard server edition pre-installed.
