Microsoft To Try its Luck (Again) in the Mobile Arena

29 September 2009 No Comment

Like someone had quoted earlier, Microsoft is not where it thought it would be and its attempts in the mobile arena has been really lame. Smart phones are the fastest selling product in the mobile market and has shown a significant increase in sales comparing to last year. Symbian OS based phones rule the market with an approximately 50% while Microsoft’s Windows Mobile trails back with a 9%. But with the launch of its new mobile phone software, Microsoft is hoping to make a fortune in the smart phones market.

Microsoft has no idea as to how many mobiles would feature the new Windows Mobile version 6.5 but official sources said that they had several operators and smart phone manufacturers signed on for this. Among the mobile operators that have signed in are AT&T, Verizon,Orange,TMobile, SK Telecom and DoCoMo while the handset makers that were signed in are Acer,Toshiba, HTC, Sony Ericsson, LG and Samsung. This new  software is the only hope for Microsoft to revive its  glory in the mobile arena!
