Palm, the leaders of yesteryear’s PDA market and back again to try their luck. But this time they’ve got it sleeker and are aimed at the younger generation. Palm has launched the Palm Pixi, a slimmer smart phone that is perfect for the modern generation. This is the second phone that Palm is releasing this year, after the Palm Pre’s release in January earlier this year. The Palm Pre was considered as a competitor to Apple’s iPhone by many analysts.
Palm hasn’t fixed a price tag yet on this sleek beauty but they have planned to release the phone in the US through Sprint. Though no details were released about the European and Asian release of the phone, Palm has said that the new Pixi was designed in a way that it addresses all of the negative aspects of the iPhone 3G. The Pixi comes with 8 gigs of internal storage memory and with a Qwerty keyboard. The phone is expected to be released before Christmas.
