Motorola’s First Android Phone
Mobile manufacturers, Motorola have revealed their first phone that runs on Google Android. The phone which is called Motorola Cliq was officially released at the Mobilize 09 Conference at San Francisco by Motorola’s co-CEO Sanjay Jha. The Cliq will be available with T-Mobile from this fall, but there hasn’t been any word on the price. It will be on sale worldwide from 2010 and will be available in 2 colorways from T-Mobile – white and titanium.The Cliq has a 3.1 inch touch screen with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. It runs on Android 1.5 and pretty much offers most of Google’s services like Picasa, Google Maps, GTalk and Google Voice Search and also supports a number of IM services like MSN and Yahoo. The phone is 3G enabled and comes with a 5-megapixel camera. The Cliq is different from the rest of the smart phones due to the MotoBlur that helps users sync their information in Facebook,Twitter and other Social media and networking sites. Motorola also has plans to roll another Android phone in the upcoming weeks!
