File-sharing giants The Pirate Bay is back online again even after their Internet Service Provider was forced to take down the site. The District court in Stockholm had passed an order asking Black Internet, an Internet Service provider to take down The Pirate Bay website and that they would have to pay a fine of 500,000 Kronor if they failed to do so. The order was passed as a result of the lawsuit that was filed against the website by the film and music industry earlier in June.
The website was then taken down by the ISP- however, the ironical thing here was, The Pirate Bay website was up again in a few hours with a new carrier. And in a press statement issued by the company, they had parodied Winston Churchill’s famous speech that they would keep the site running for years if necessary. The release went on like this, “We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the baywords.org, we shall fight on the /. and on the digg, we shall fight in the courts; we shall never surrender”. Now,that’s some good news for the fans of the file-sharing site!
