eBay to Start Selling GM Cars

1 September 2009 No Comment

Renowned auction site, eBay and General Motors (GM) have partnered up and come up with a new scheme  that allows customers in the US to purchase cars off the auction site. The trial run for the scheme will run from the 11the of August to the 8th of September and comes as a new move from auto giant to boost sales.

A number of dealers have signed up and customers will now be able to buy the vehicle at a fixed price or bargain on the price tag. All of GM’s brands including Buick, Pontaic , GMC and Chevrolet will be available through this scheme. Customers can then pick up the vehicle at one of the nearest GM dealers. Lorrie Norrington, President of eBay says that this was the first time new vehicles were on sale through the site and this new move, if successful in California would be implemented throughout the US.
